Martin Mundt is a nasty, warped, zero-termperature so-and-so who can't put two words together without first snickering, then slitting their throats. This guy is far too hip for his own good. No wonder reading him is such a pleasure.
Strange, silly, funny tales in extremely poor taste. Highly recommended -- also recommended for those who are high. |

The work of newcomer Martin Mundt is sick, insane, surreal, and thoroughly enjoyable. I'm looking forward to more.
These are tales that would have driven Robert Bloch psycho, would have made Chucky upchuck, would have made a Freddy film seem like a badtime story. Read at your own risk -- I did and now I'm having difficulty writing in this tight white jacket with my arms folded in front.
Nazi dragons, lethal llamas, full-body zippers, Pierced Pets... all this and Kevin Bacon, too! Sort of. If Mundt doesn't make you smile you're probably as dead and immune to black humor as his cherished Celebrity Corpse. |

Martin Mundt is a sick, sick man -- and I mean that in the very best way. I really admire anyone this twisted. He's got a real flair for violence, a solid prose style, and a truly appalling sense of humor. I want to see more! The Misenchanted Sword & Touched by the Gods
Personal ads placed by lonely corpses, a colony of carnivorous insects holed up in modern-day suburbia, and a Manson-style religious cult searching neighborhood homes for its reincarnated leader -- just three good reasons why you should invite manic Martin Mundt's "The Crawling Abattoir" into your home... and let's face it: it's safer than leaving the damned thing where anybody might find it! Escardy Gap, editor of Narrow Houses
Martin Mundt has a wickedly diabolic sense of humor. His irreverent humorous horror pokes chilling fun at everybody and everything, and nobody is safe: clowns, movie stars, necrophiles! The Power of the Blood series, editor of In the Shadow of the Gargoyle
The Crawling Abattoir is one twisted emporium. It's got dragons, clowns, and Kevin Bacon (well, almost), and it proves that Martin Mundt is a writer to watch... Saguaro Riptide, editor of It Came From the Drive-In |
